Elementary School Reunion with a High School Flair

The Sohl Family of Long Beach had a great idea...

1. Invite a wonderful group of "former" classmates of The Westerly School along with their families.

2. Include some of Westerly's key people to see the fruits of their labor.

3. Hire Slate Concepts to do a Special Reunion Party for these graduating Seniors (which included their youngest daughter Emilie).

The appetizers, The Taco Bar and the Frozen Margarita Machine were all a big hit.  But the specialty Deserts by Jonathan Downing of "Just In Taste" and cupcakes by Hannah were by far the  "sweetest" part of the evening.

The Party favors by Slate Concepts included Westerly Logo Wine Glasses for the adults and personalized College Mugs and "Off to College Dorm Room Tool Kits" for each High School Graduate.

Adding Value To A Home Through STAGING

This family home, with over 40 years of accumulated treasures, was the perfect task for Slate Concepts as we prepared this residence to sell in today’s Real Estate Market. 

Slate was allowed to do some EXTREME editing and create fresh new simple room decor using old and new items to make this home ready for interested buyers.

The BEST PART OF THIS STAGING

-The Staging costs were less than 1% of the asking price and...

-The asking price was increased by 15% after the Staging was complete. 

A lot of editing, some repurposing with a bit of updating and Voila...

Not just any Tuesday, But Toshiba Tuesday for Slate Concepts and Brew HaHa

Slate Concepts and Tim (of Brew HaHa) had a fun afternoon at Toshiba Irvine as we set up a tasty Spring themed treat for Toshiba Associates. There were small decadent desserts and delicious coffees  (made to order of course).

This Event was set up to showcase the new Toshiba product line. Over 200 people were there to see the exciting new electronics - However...

We know they were there for Slate's yummy goodies and a jolt of Brew HaHa's delicious coffees...

Just doing what we do and having fun along the way.

Mad Martini Couples Shower

But of course - It's the Cocktail Party of choice these days and Slate Concepts nailed it! 

From the invitation to the menu, from the decor to the guest attire this was a nostalgic event to remember.

The focal point of the evening (other than the future Bride and Groom) was "The Retro Bar". Vintage cocktails were shaken not stirred and flowing freely from the custom  black and chrome boomerang bar designed and created by Laurie, Sarah and Hannah of Slate Concepts.  

Tray passed "small bites" were enjoyed by everyone as each bite was more delicious than the next.  From crab cakes with a "secret" aioli topper  to mini waffle bites with prosciutto, cheese and maple drizzle (and lots in between) - each guest found a new favorite during the evening. 

The entire location was turned into a black, chrome, orange and green cocktail lounge and glowed with candle lights.  The guests dressed in the requested  black and white attire mingled throughout the evening while Frank Sinatra and classic "Rat Pack" music played long into the evening.

This was an exceptional night of fun, delicious food and a perfect evening for several generations to gather and celebrate a wonderful occasion- AJ and Jackie's May Wedding!

We wish this wonderful couple a life filled with more happy memories.

detail went unoticed. You captured the "vibe" of the couple in
everything from the invitations and party theme to the hand crafted
cocktail bar, to the dance floor and lounge areas, to the parting
gifts of martini shakers filled with treats from the era.
This party was a true gift to all our guests and an experience they
will not forget!

Holidays in Huntington Harbour

The Holiday lights reflecting off the water, the decorated boats illuminated and cruising by all evening long and a fabulous Huntington Harbor Home ready for a Family Christmas.  What could be more beautiful?

Slate Concepts loved staging this absolutely beautiful Indonesian style home for Christmas. The beautiful entry way led us into the warm living spaces where touches of festive decor was added to blend into the carved architectural elements. The colors were kept soft and subtle on the Mantel, in the centerpieces and throughout the home. 

We love, love, loved working in this home and for it's owners! 

All Dressed Up for the Holidays

Slate Concepts had the pleasure of staging one of the most wonderful homes in Naples, Long Beach inside and out for the numerous events being held there this Season. 

This home is hosting Cocktail Parties, an Annual Caroling Party, evenings with close friends and family and all the wonderful times meant to be shared at Christmas.

From it's warm entry way leading to the Festive Dining Room,  Elegant Living Room or to it's incredible outdoor entertainment area - we loved creating a bit of Christmas to set the stage for this remarkable family home.
